This is a one-day course delivered by qualified Social Workers including Independent Reviewing Officers for the Manchester Safeguarding Board.
This course is aimed at any professionals who works with children in Manchester and attends or is required to attend a Case Conference meetings with regard to safeguarding a child or young person.
This course requires you to have completed an MSP 'introductory' or your organisations approved 'basic awareness' safeguarding children training course within the past 3 years.
To provide participants with an overview of the purposes and content of child protection case conferences and core groups, and clarify roles and responsibilities. To promote the 'Voice of the Child' and improve participation of young people in such processes.
